I’ve Been Where You Are

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. You want someone who truly understands—not just professionally, but personally. I know because I’ve been there myself. I remember the first time I sat across from a therapist, unsure of what to say, feeling like I should ‘have it all together.’ That moment changed my life. Now, I help others find that same relief and clarity.

At Dignity Counseling, I’ve created a space where you can breathe, reflect, and heal—without judgment, without pressure. My approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), grief counseling, and trauma therapy, because healing is about more than just fixing symptoms. It’s about finding balance, understanding, and peace.

How My Own Journey Led Me to This Work

I didn’t always know I’d become a therapist. Life had a few lessons to teach me first. For years, I tried to push through struggles on my own, thinking I had to be ‘strong enough’ to handle everything myself. But therapy taught me that true strength comes from being open to support. There was a moment in my own healing journey where I realized—this is what I want to do for others. I wanted to create a space where people could come as they are, without fear of judgment, and begin to heal at their own pace.

Someone once held space for me, and it changed everything. Now, it’s my privilege to do the same for others. My work isn’t about throwing textbook solutions at you. It’s about meeting you where you are and helping you uncover the path that makes sense for you. No judgment, no “one-size-fits-all” answers—just real conversations and tools that make a difference.

My Therapy is Designed for You

Therapy isn’t magic, but it does work—when it’s done with care, honesty, and an approach that fits you. Here are some of the ways I help people, just  like you, find peace:

Understanding Your Inner World (IFS Therapy)

IFS helps you recognize the different parts of yourself—those voices that criticize, protect, or hold pain. Instead of feeling like you’re fighting against yourself, you learn how to create inner harmony and self-acceptance. Think of it like tuning an orchestra so every instrument plays in balance.

Healing Through Grief and Loss

Grief isn’t just about death. It’s about any loss that shakes your foundation—a relationship, a job, a sense of identity. I help clients work through the unpredictable waves of grief, so they can carry their memories forward without being stuck in pain.

Releasing Trauma and Moving Forward

Trauma leaves marks—sometimes visible, sometimes buried deep. Your nervous system holds onto those experiences, often long after the danger is gone. With the right approach, we can help your mind and body let go of survival mode and learn to feel safe again.

Navigating Life’s Big Changes

Change can feel like free-falling without a parachute. Whether it’s a new job, the end of a relationship, becoming a parent, or stepping into an unfamiliar chapter of life, I’m here to help you find your footing.

What to Expect When You Start With Me

If you’re nervous about starting therapy, that’s completely normal. Many people feel uncertain about what to say or where to begin, but that’s exactly why I’m here—to help guide the process in a way that feels comfortable for you.

To make that first step easier, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can briefly chat about your concerns and see if we’re a good fit.

In our first session, we’ll simply talk. No pressure, no expectations, and certainly no deep dives unless you’re ready. I’ll ask what brought you here, what’s been on your mind, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll start to notice patterns—whether in your emotions, thoughts, or relationships—that might be contributing to your struggles.

Think of this session as the first step in getting to know each other and setting the foundation for the work ahead. The free consultation gives us a chance to connect before diving into the work, so you feel confident moving forward. My goal is to make sure you feel heard and understood, in a space where you can take a deep breath and just be yourself. If you don’t know exactly what you need yet, that’s okay. We’ll figure it out together.

You can always reach out to me and I can help guide you to the best option for you.

I Want Clients To Really Trust Me as Their Therapist

People often tell me I’m easy to talk to—like a trusted friend, but one with training and tools to actually help. I balance warmth with directness, humor with deep empathy. My clients know they can be themselves in our sessions—no masks, no pretense.

I’ve worked with people who felt completely stuck—whether in grief, trauma, or self-doubt. One person I helped had been struggling with overwhelming anxiety for years, feeling like no one truly understood. Through therapy, we uncovered the parts of them that had been trying to protect them from pain, but instead, kept them stuck. With time, they learned how to trust themselves again. Seeing that transformation is why I do this work.

Therapy with me isn’t just about working through the past. It’s about building a future that feels right to you. Together, we’ll identify patterns that hold you back and explore new ways to move forward.

Why This Approach Works

  • You won’t feel like just another appointment on my calendar. I take time to understand your story and what you truly need.
  • I bring both personal and professional experience. I don’t just rely on theories—I know firsthand how transformational therapy can be.
  • We’ll laugh sometimes, too. Healing doesn’t have to be all serious, all the time. Sometimes, a little humor lightens the load.
  • You set the pace. Whether you’re ready to dive deep or need to ease in slowly, we work at your comfort level.

If You’re Ready, Let’s Take This Step Together

If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or just in need of someone to truly listen, know that you don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy is a space where you can bring your whole self—your struggles, your hopes, and everything in between—without fear of judgment.

Healing isn’t a race, and there’s no right or wrong way to begin. Whether you’re seeking support for grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, we can take things at a pace that feels right for you. When you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you, offering guidance and a compassionate ear.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is the right fit, we can start with a simple conversation. No expectations, no pressure—just a chance for us to connect. Whenever you feel ready, reach out, and we’ll take it from there.
